Although I'm glad to service my fans, I can't help but think that not all of the comic's readers have a panty fetish. You can assume something that like that in Japan (where fanservice is big) where you can actually buy "used" panties from a vending machine, but here in America things are different.

So to keep this comic realistically a fanservice comic, I've brainstormed some ideas...

1. Fans of the comic who wear panties could relate to the fact that Summer's panties clashes with the rest of her outfit. Sometimes you can't always match. Hell, nobody's going to be looking at them anyway, right?

2. Fans of the comic who wear low ride jeans could relate to the hatred of those cute jeans that reveal everything if you're not in a standing position. It's a curse! You got to wear cute undies because YOU KNOW everybody will be seeing them. And don't think you can get over the system by not wearing any panties....then you're buttcrack will be showing, and for most people, that's worst. You'd think that all people wouldn't like their buttcrack to show, but I know some people who like the feeling of people throwing pennies into theirs. Don't ask...

3. The true nice guy fans of the comic could relate to Kevin (the kid in the green shirt) who just wanted to honestly compliment a girl on her nice choice of apparel. Some girls can really dress their hearts out and they put extra effort into looking cute, especially their choice of underwear. They won't be seen, but at least the girl can have a clear conscience knowing that EVERY inch of her body is cute to the max. Kevin was just being thoughtful of Summer, and what does she do....she decks him in the face!! Girls can be so cruel!

So, my wonderful fans, I'm glad to have given you this bit of fanservice. Girl's panties are at the heart of the world's culture, and when they're visible, a whole wealth of stigmas rise to the surface. What else (besides racism and religion) could accomplish such a feat?

The Daily Cat and Mouse Hustle

Hello everyone. If you believe me, raise your hand. Nobody? Fine, be that way...I'll prove all of you wrong.

2006 begins with a big blunder with the news media. I'm sure you all heard of the 12 trapped miners in the south. I'm sure you all also heard how because one of the miner's were found, the rest of the 12 were "found" too. So on a morning earlier this week, every newspaper has a front page article proclaiming that it was a miracle the 12 survived..........except that they didn't survive, they're all dead. The bad thing about it was that for 3 hours, the families of the miners were made to believe they were alive too. Imagine how that must feel to know that your loved one survived a disaster, only to be told that they didn't. That's worse than just knowing that they died first hand. I hate American media so much, so I actually had fun with this blunder. They really need to factcheck better in the future, but in the back of my head, I know its not going happen. I just feel sad that those poor miner's families had to suffer from it.

I hope this year will be a mostly positive one. 2005 was like the year of the natural disaster. The beginning of the year had us clean up after the big bad Tsunami. Then in September we had Hurricane Katrina, which started up single handedly the best round of the "Blame Game" ever. The Bush Administration, The Louisiana State Government, The New Orleans Local Government, FEMA, who's to blame for the poor handling of New Orleans? I'm surprised nobody didn't just blame God for it. Anyway, I wonder what 2006 will be the year of? One thing's for sure....something big and terrible will happen again, I can just feel it. I hate to say it, but I have a feeling.

So I'm going to end the DSW on this note. Sorry it was so negative, but current events is just negative right now. I'm still hurt over the Brad/Jen and Nick/Jessica split. Til next update!

Which One is My Favorite Niece?

As this comic goes on and readership goes up, there's going to be an age old question...which one is your favorite niece? I thought about this question and I'm said to myself "Wow, I don't know...maybe I should go down the nieces and see which one I like..."

Well, we have Winter. She's a smart girl, so that gets a few points from me. Love the glasses look. But I don't like her attitude...I've seen too many of it in real life, and it sucks. Whenever a girl gets an attitude, I just let it run its course, there's no use trying to argue back or stop it...I'll waiting for a break in yelling so I can escape.

Autumn, what can I say about her. I love female artists, so that's cool. She's a walking jewelry box with her piercings and whatnot...I love piercings when done right, and in her case its done right...you know, because I drew them the way I like, ha

Spring, Spring, the outside girl. Loves to be outside and playing games, so she's fun. Tomboyish girls are so weird. I used to hang around one growing up, and I was constantly like "This isn't right...I should be playin this girl, not playing with her (just kidding, I don't condone playin girls unless she's playin you). They may be weird, but they are cool as hell, so it cancels each other out.

Summer. You got to admit, there's something attractive about girls that are always cheerful (if your into 14 year old black female cartoon characters, you perv) They can brighten your day whether your in any kind of mood, or if you hate them, you ENJOY hating them, so in a sense they still attract you to them. If your a conversationalist, then you love talking, so you're going to love Summer's motormouth. I'm weird though....I'm a motormouth myself, but long conversations annoy me...its kind of ironic.

But after all of the "analyzing" of the nieces, should I really have a favorite character. This comic has 5 main characters (Dark Spider and his 4 nieces in case you forgot somehow), so should one of them really be my favorite. Just take a look at some shows with a lot of main characters that are supposed to share the same focus.

-Family Guy is a good one. Have you noticed that Stewie has been getting a lot of air time and gags with this new 4th season. Wonder why? Because he's a favorite amongst the creators of the show, so they enjoy writing stuff with him in it. Meanwhile, Meg Griffin hardly gets air time (despite her being a lame character, she's still entitled to more)

-Dragonball Z is a very good example. Its been stated that Akira Toriyama (the creator of the show) loves the characters of Gohan, Krillin, Piccolo and Mr. Satan (well, besides Goku of course, that's a given). And guess what? They are featured way more often than the other characters like Yamcha, Tenshinhan, etc. We'll make a special case for Vegeta who is Toriyama's hated character and is prominently featured. Even though he gets screen time, his time is spent always being beaten up by villians or whining about being surpassed by his peers.

You see where I'm getting at? If I have favorites, I'll focus on them alot more than the other characters because I enjoy that character alot. I don't want to do that, I want to treat my characters equally. So that's why I don't have a favorite niece...or even a favorite character for that matter. Heck, not even Dark Spider (the character that is largely based on me) is my favorite character....not that I hate myself, I just try not to have favorites. I'll leave the favorites up to you guys.

Welcome to Dark Spider's Web!

Hello and welcome to Dark Spider's Web. This is the spot of the Niece Web comic where I do all of the extra writing and stuff. Here you'll have the pleasure of reading my opinion on whatever I feel like typing an opinion on. That's not a bad thing, as you can always benefit from what another person has to say about something, and the Dark Spider's Web will be easy reading.

Fake FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions for those who don't know)

So what do we expect to find here?

Well anything really. Television shows could be featured here, current events, other webcomics on the internet, anything that I find interesting. This place will be fun.

Will this have anything to do with the Niece Web comic...you know, because its on the website.

Not really, but the Dark Spider Web is a neat little page to flesh out the site a little bit and give it more oomph. Who knows, maybe you'll get a few cameos from the nieces themselves and what stuff they like.

But the nieces are just fictious characters, right? How can they contribute to the Dark Spider Web, let alone have any interests?

Because you touch yourself at night! Serious, shut up!

Why is the Dark Spider Web on a blog and not on a regular webpage?

Because I hate working with HTML and doing webpages. Also I wanted the Dark Spider Web to have a blog feel because IT IS a blog. For those who don't know what a blog is, it is like an online journal...and I think it fits perfectly with the theme of Dark Spider Web. Another reason is I like the easy type and post style of Blogger.com, where the Dark Spider Web is hosted. So there's lots of positives and no negatives in sight...score one for me!

Which is your favorite niece?

I'm not answering that because that is going to be the first topic of the Dark Spider Web!

You guys are going to love the Dark Spider Web. If not, then I'll have fun with it for all of us!
